Mise-en-scene blog tasks

 1) Find a distinctive still image and write an analysis of the mise-en-scene. Use each of the aspects you've learned in the lesson

C.L.A.M.P.S

He's a protagonist and looks as if he's being chased by the police so he's the villain. The joker is wearing makeup and has long hair as if he is trying to imitate a girl. It's night time and so the typical image of that is that there are high crime rates. the background is blurred and so the focus is on him. He doesn't look intimidated in fact he looks calm so it's as if he doesn't really care about what's going to happen or he knows that he will get away with whatever he has done.

2) Find TWO film or TV extracts on YouTube from different genres (e.g. horror, sci-fi, costume drama). Embed them in your blogpost and write a comparison of the mise-en-scene in each.

https://youtu.be/J3d9zrnsrF4 = action comedy(hybrid genre)

The first horror short film they were wearing dark casual clothes as it was set in a house so they were comfortable whereas in the action comedy short film one was disguised as I believe he was trying to steal something and the other one was in uniform. The first one also had dark lighting to show it was mysterious and a serious situation whereas the other one it was bright as it was supposed to show that it was a comedy and action in one so it wouldn’t have made sense for it to be in the dark. In the horror film the protagonist was using a guitar as his weapon whereas in the other movie he’s using a mop and cleaning supplies. The second clip was set in a workplace.
