Statement of Intent second draft

 My crime drama: Title: King of the 6 Tagline: Kill or be killed Genre: Crime drama Concept/media language: This extract will be about a son who is a drug dealer due to his life experiences. He has grown up without a dad and his mother is a drug addict who uses quite frequently so his life isn't easy. The mum attempts to buy of her son when he doesn't agree and refuses to sell to her. He then leaves and we see someone follow him but we are not sure of who and we are not shown either. Towards the end, the stalker who had followed him ends up strangling him and we are then revealed who the killer and stalker is and to our surprise it's his mother.  Locations:  Ravenor park which is where Idris deals My house which is where his mum lives and it's where they have their disagreement Shots: Close up when they exchange substances Establishing shot of the first setting Shot reverse shot on the conversations  Use of enigma codes (Barthes) towards the end as we don't know who
